I was missing shooting with my Fed3b, my first rangefinder, so last week I picked it up and went to the streets. The Fed3B is a soviet-era Leica copy, which resembles a Leica M3. Advantages (besides being damn pretty): silent shutter, nice handling and weight, good glass available (I used an Industar I-61). On the other hand, its viewfinder is anything but bright, so in order to focus quickly, you have to practice a bit, and it does not have a light meter. This last "feature" caused some under/overexposed shots, when my sunny 16 rule was not so accurate. Still, I got some nice shots with a Kodak Tri-X 400:
